Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join JP Morgans Corporate and Investment Banking Controllers Team in Bangalore. This entry-level role is critical for overseeing the accounting and reporting of legal entity financial statements, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and local GAAP. The successful candidate will contribute to financial performance analysis, regulatory reporting, and strategic projects within the Controllers domain.

Key Deliverables
Oversee the accounting and reporting of legal entity financial statements, guaranteeing accuracy and compliance with US GAAP and local GAAP.
Monitor general ledger controls, including attributions, inter-entity and investment equity breaks, and IFRS reporting, maintaining data integrity.
Prepare and Analyze regulatory reports to ensure compliance with various US Federal requirements, mitigating potential risks and penalties.
Develop insightful management information summary decks to support senior managements financial decision-making, providing clear and actionable insights.
Report in compliance with critical regulators such as RBI, HKMA, MAS, APRA, and others.
Conduct periodic financial statement reporting and analysis, including balance sheet, P&L, and off-balance sheet reporting, adhering to local regulations.
Implement internal control policies and procedures to mitigate financial and business risks, ensuring adherence to legal entity control standards.

Essential Requirements
Qualified Chartered Accountant or equivalent Finance Degree or a subject of a technical nature.
0-1 year of experience in financial services, accounting, or a related field.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly and concisely.
Comfortable with rotational shifts, including night shifts, as per project demands.
Candidate must be comfortable with the commute to the office location.

Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in financial services or a related industry is a plus.

Skills Must-Have Skills
Technical: Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills (proficient in financial modeling, data analysis, and presentation creation).
Domain Knowledge: Understanding of US GAAP and local accounting principles; familiarity with financial statement analysis and regulatory reporting requirements.
Behavioral & Interpersonal: Strong communication, teamwork, and stakeholder management skills; ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Process & SOP: Experience with financial reporting processes, internal controls, and compliance procedures.
Analytical & Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze large data sets, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.

Good-to-Have Skills
Additional Certifications: Pursuing or holding relevant certifications such as CFA, ACCA, or CPA.
Cross-Functional Exposure: Experience working with cross-functional teams (e.g., operations, technology) on financial projects.
Leadership Traits: Potential to mentor or train junior staff members in the future.

Additional Information
This role requires flexibility to work in rotational shifts, including night shifts, based on project requirements.
The standard onboarding process includes training on JP Morgans financial systems and compliance procedures.
Must be comfortable with commuting to the Bangalore office location.
