| Description | Physician- MD (Internal Medicine) 3-5 years post-MD (Full-time / On-site) About Role: The Physician (Internal Medicine) is responsible for providing evidencebased medical care to patients across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings. The role requires strong diagnostic skills, independent clinical decisionmaking, and the ability to manage complex and chronic diseases. The physician will coordinate with specialty departments to ensure holistic and comprehensive care delivery. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct detailed patient assessments including history, physical examination, and diagnostic evaluation for adult medical conditions. - Diagnose and manage a broad spectrum of acute, chronic, and complex diseases. - Provide inpatient care, manage ward patients, monitor clinical progress, adjust treatment plans, and document daily rounds. - Manage medical emergencies, provide initial stabilization, and coordinate specialty services. - Order, interpret, and integrate laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic investigations into patient management plans. - Prescribe medications, treatments, and evidence-based therapies following national and institutional guidelines. - Participate in interdisciplinary discussions and develop integrated care pathways. - Counsel patients and families regarding disease, prognosis, lifestyle modification, preventive care, and long-term management. - Maintain accurate medical documentation including clinical notes, diagnostic summaries, treatment records, and discharge summaries. - Participate in departmental meetings, audits, discussions, protocol development, and quality improvement initiatives. - Ensure compliance with infection control standards, hospital policies, biomedical waste norms, and NABH accreditation requirements. - Stay updated on advances in internal medicine and incorporate evidence-based practices in daily clinical work. Qualifications and Requirements: - MD (Internal Medicine) from an NMC-recognized institution. - Valid registration with NMC/MCI or State Medical Council. -3-5 years of independent clinical experience post-MD in a multispecialty hospital. - Strong clinical judgment in diagnosing and managing adult medical conditions. - Proficiency in interpreting diagnostics and managing complex patients. - Ability to independently handle emergencies and inpatient medical care. - Excellent communication and teamwork skills. - Familiarity with EMR systems used in Indian hospitals. Preferred Attributes: Prior experience in a tertiary-care or multi-specialty hospital. Proven ability to manage high-volume OPD/IPD cases efficiently.
