| Description | Job description Purpose/Objective The Senior Manager - Finance Controller will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the financial health of our power and energy projects in Raipur. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial planning, control, compliance, and reporting within the power/energy sector. Key Responsibilities of Role - Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling activities to support strategic business planning. Analyze variances and provide insights for cost optimization and profitability enhancement. - Financial Reporting & Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards and statutory regulations. Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure full compliance. - Internal Controls & Risk Management: Develop and maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure operational efficiency. Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies to secure the organization's financial interests. - Cash Flow Management: Oversee working capital management, optimize cash flows, and ensure the availability of funds for operational and project requirements. Liaise with banking partners and financial institutions for credit facilities and treasury operations. - Cost Control & Vendor Management: Monitor project and operational expenditures, conduct cost-benefit analysis, and drive cost control initiatives. Manage vendor contracts and payment processes ensuring compliance with financial policies. - Team Leadership & Development: Mentor and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accuracy, and accountability aligned with Adani’s values. Encourage collaboration and knowledge-sharing within the team and across departments. - Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with business heads, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand financial implications, support decision-making, and align finance strategy with business goals. - ERP & Financial Systems Management: Oversee the implementation and optimization of financial systems and ERP solutions to enhance reporting accuracy and operational efficiency. - Regulatory & Taxation Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax laws, corporate governance standards, and other regulatory requirements relevant to the power and energy sector. - Strategic Initiatives: Support mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic financial initiatives by providing detailed financial insights and due diligence support. Technical Competencies Advanced knowledge of financial accounting standards (IND AS/ IFRS). ,Proficiency in ERP financial modules (SAP, Oracle, or similar). ,Familiarity with power sector financial regulations and compliance requirements,Strong leadership and team management capability. Qualifications and Experience Chartered Accountant (CA) or Cost Accountant (CMA) is desired to have. - MBA in Finance or equivalent advanced degree is preferred. Bach. in Finance is must have. |
