Job Objective
A General Manager (GM) of Finance and Accounts is a senior executive responsible for managing and overseeing all
financial operations within an organization. The role involves strategic financial planning, risk management, and
ensuring compliance, all aimed at safeguarding the company's financial health and driving its growth
Key Responsibility
Financial leadership and strategy

Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures that support the company's long-term
objectives.

Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
Analyse financial data and reports to provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior
management.
Accounting operations and reporting

Oversee all accounting functions, including the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and
payroll.
Ensure the timely and accurate preparation and publication of financial statements, such as the profit and
loss (P&L) statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement.
Maintain and improve internal controls and financial procedures to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
Compliance and risk management

Ensure full compliance with financial regulations, tax laws (both direct and indirect), and statutory
requirements.

Coordinate with internal and external auditors and manage the financial audit process.
Identify and mitigate financial risks, and develop strategies to protect the company's financial interests.
Treasury and cash flow management

Oversee the organization's treasury operations, including cash flow and liquidity management.
Manage banking relationships and optimize working capital.
Team management and development

Lead, mentor, and manage the finance and accounts team to foster a high-performance culture.
Ensure the team has the necessary tools, skills, and processes to operate effectively.
