| Description | Job description General Description: As a Laravel/PHP software developer, you will help build various custom software features for a fast-growing company. This role requires a high level of skill and attention to detail. In addition, you will work closely with others on the development team to improve the company's efficiency and our ability to serve our customers in the best possible manner. Keeping data secure and accurate is vital to the business, so all efforts should be made to maintain these objectives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and maintain robust, scalable, and efficient software applications using Laravel and PHP. Address complex performance and architectural issues, ensuring optimal system functionality. Integrate various data storage solutions to enhance application performance. Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from planning to deployment. Troubleshoot and resolve software issues, providing timely and effective solutions. Collaborating across time zones via documents, video conferences as required. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. Implement security best practices to protect data integrity and confidentiality. Perform additional duties as required. Requirements: Education and Experience: High School diploma or GED equivalent; a college degree in a related field is preferred or equivalent professional experience. Minimum of 5 years of demonstrable experience with PHP and Laravel v. 9+. Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively. Strong problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail; organized and able to prioritize competing requests to ensure deadlines are met. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in diverse, cross-functional teams and adapt to changing project requirements and priorities. Demonstrable knowledge of Agile software development methodologies. Working knowledge of JavaScript, Tailwind, Alpine.js, and Livewire. In-depth knowledge of relational databases (especially MySQL), version control tools (e.g., Git), and developing web services including code storage, integration, and deployment. Experience with Vue.js is a plus. Awareness of common security vulnerabilities and best practices. Ability to optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability. |
