SDSC SHAR operates Space Central Schools at its Sriharikota and Sullurpeta campuses under the NCERT/CBSE curriculum, primarily to educate the children of its employees and supporting personnel. To staff these schools, SDSC SHAR has invited online applications for five categories of teaching posts.

Eligibility Criteria for Each Teaching Post

TGT (Maths) - To Teach Maths and Physics
Candidates need a four-year NCTE-recognised integrated degree with at least 50% marks (subject + B.Ed component), OR a Bachelor's/Honours degree with 50% marks plus a B.Ed degree from an NCTE-recognised institution (alternatives include a 3-year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed or a 1-year B.Ed Special Education from RCI). Candidates must also have qualified CTET Paper-II and be able to teach in Hindi and English. Applicants must have studied Mathematics as a main subject for at least 3 years/6 semesters, Physics for at least 1 year/2 semesters, and one of Chemistry/Electronics/Computer Science/Statistics for at least 1 year/2 semesters. Candidates with B.Sc (Hons.) in Physics or Chemistry are not eligible for this post.

TGT (Science) - To Teach Chemistry and Biology
The qualification pattern mirrors TGT (Maths): a four-year integrated degree or a Bachelor's/Honours degree (50% marks) with Chemistry, plus a B.Ed degree, along with a qualifying CTET Paper-II score. Candidates must have studied Biology/Life Science/Botany/Zoology as a Honours or main subject for at least 3 years/6 semesters, combined with Chemistry, Botany, or Zoology as applicable for at least one year or two semesters.

TGT - Work Experience Teacher (WET)
This post requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Electronics & Communication Engineering with at least 50% marks, along with a B.Ed degree (50% marks) from an NCTE-recognised institution, ability to teach in Hindi and English, and knowledge of computers. One year of practical workshop/factory experience is desirable but not mandatory.

TGT (Telugu)
Candidates need a Bachelor's degree with Telugu as the main subject (or one of three equal optional subjects), a BOL in Telugu, or a Postgraduate degree in Telugu, combined with a B.Ed with Telugu methodology or Telugu Pandit Training. Candidates must have passed State TET or CTET Paper-II with Telugu as one of the chosen subjects.

Primary Teacher
Eligible candidates need Senior Secondary/Intermediate (10+2) with 50% marks plus a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, OR Class XII with 50% marks plus a 4-year B.El.Ed, OR Class XII with 50% marks plus a 2-year RCI Diploma in Special Education. A qualifying score in CTET Paper-I and the ability to teach in Hindi and English are also required.Education

Across all posts, Hindi working knowledge is necessary, and candidates claiming equivalent qualifications must produce documentary evidence at the time of the Skill Test.

Essential qualification documents - PDF, under 1 MB.
No Objection Certificate (if employed in Government/PSU/Autonomous body).
The photograph and signature uploaded must be clear and legible; failure to meet this requirement leads to cancellation of candidature. Uploaded documents are verified at the Skill Test stage, and mere admission to the Written Test does not guarantee selection.

Selection Process: Written Test and Skill Test
SDSC SHAR shortlists and selects teachers through a two-stage process - a written exam followed by a practical skill demonstration - explained below with the exact marking scheme.

Written Test (CBT)
The Computer Based Test checks both the theoretical and practical knowledge of candidates across the prescribed syllabus. For Primary Teacher, TGT (Maths), TGT (Science), and TGT (WET), the paper carries 180 marks split into four parts - Languages (20), General Awareness/Reasoning/Computers (20), Education & Leadership Perspective (40), and Subject Specific (100). For TGT (Telugu), the 180-mark paper covers General English/Awareness/Reasoning (20), Education Perspectives (20), Pedagogy (40), and Telugu Language & Literature (100).Education


How to Apply Online
SDSC SHAR accepts applications exclusively through its online portal. The steps below summarise the process candidates need to follow.

Visit the official SDSC SHAR website: www.shar.gov.in.
Locate the online registration link for Advertisement No. SDSC SHAR/RMT/01/2026.
Register and fill in the application form for the desired post code.
Upload the photograph, signature, and required certificates in the specified format and size.
Pay the Rs. 750 fee online (no other payment mode is accepted).
Submit the application and download the registration confirmation form for future reference.
A separate application and separate fee payment is mandatory for each post; candidates cannot submit multiple applications for the same post, and incomplete applications will not be entertained.

SDSC SHAR reserves the right to cancel any exam city and direct candidates to appear from another city if required.

Travelling Allowance and Other Conditions
This section covers travel reimbursement rules and a few compliance conditions candidates should be aware of before applying.

No Travelling Allowance is paid for attending the Written Test.
Outstation candidates called for the Skill Test get 2nd Class Railway Fare or normal bus fare (whichever is lower) by the shortest route, on production of journey proof.
Employed candidates from Central/State Government, PSUs, or Autonomous Bodies must submit a No Objection Certificate at the Skill Test/Interview stage, failing which their candidature is cancelled.
Only Indian Nationals can apply, and canvassing in any form leads to disqualification.
Selected candidates are governed by the New Defined Contribution Pension Scheme and are entitled to ISRO employee benefits including medical facilities, canteen, free transport, housing facility, LTC, group insurance, and various advances.
Present posting is at SDSC SHAR, Sriharikota, but selected candidates can be transferred to any ISRO/Department of Space centre in India.
