| Description | Job description We are looking for a compassionate and skilled NICU Staff Nurse to provide specialized nursing care to newborns admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of neonatal care, excellent clinical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Key Responsibilities Provide specialized nursing care to premature, critically ill, and high-risk newborns in the NICU. Monitor vital signs, administer medications, IV fluids, and support nutritional needs as prescribed. Assist in the assessment, stabilization, and continuous monitoring of neonates. Collaborate with neonatologists, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. Educate and counsel parents and family members on newborn care, feeding, hygiene, and post-discharge care. Respond promptly to medical emergencies and assist in neonatal resuscitation and other critical care procedures. Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards. Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and quality care protocols. Ensure the NICU environment is clean, safe, and equipped for optimal patient care. Participate in continuous learning, training programs, and quality improvement initiatives. |
